26 The date for Michael's birth on his birth certificate is 4 Nov 1854 [recorded 11 Dec 1854], but it conflicts with his birth date of 19 August 1854 recorded in the St. Patrick's, Livesey Church, baptism records. If he had been born 4 November 1854 as the birth certificate records, he could not have been baptized several months earlier. The baptism record cites his birth as 19 Aug 1854, and baptism on 27 August 1854. One explanation for this discrepancy is that sometimes a fee had to be paid to civilly record a birth, and the birth had to be recorded within a short period of time or an extra fee was assessed. Maybe his parents could not immediately pay the fee, so adjusted his birth date to appear to be in compliance when they did record it.

When Michael died on 11 July 1864, he was reported to be 9 years, 11 months, which would make his calculated birth date 11 August 1854. Thus, the baptism record of his birth date is most likely the accurate date of his birth.

28 Date of death on certificate is 21 May 1856, recorded 22 May 1856, which predates his burial date. Thus, he must have died prior to 18 May, rather than on the 21st as recorded in the death certificate.. Patrick Farrell

44 The Dudley town birth register for births 1894 include one entry on page 12, no. 69, 23 August. The entry was originally written Thomas H. Sanders, then the Thomas was crossed out and William H. was written above it. The record is the birth of a male child of Daniel and Julia (Farrell) Sanders. William H. Sanders or Saunders does not appear in the Massachusetts Vital Records, 1841-1910 for the town of Dudley for this date of birth, however, one Thomas H. Sanders [sic] does appear with the same birth date and place and same parents [see MVR Dudley births, 1894, vol. 441: 420, no. 69.] The MVR listing was recorded 24 January 1895, several months after the birth in August. Thomas H. Saunders or Sanders only appears that once in the MVR and never again appears with this family, and no death record has been discovered for him. On the other hand, William Henry Saunders does consistently appear with this family. Further, in the 1900 U.S. census, Julia A. Saunders is reported to be the mother of 9, eight living, which would support the existence of Thomas H., but in 1910 it is reported she is the mother of 8, seven living, which is more consistent with Thomas having not been born. Since the informant for these censuses is not named, it is unknown which record is correct, but it is possible she was not the informant in 1900, but was in 1910. Given these factors and until new information surfaces, it is surmised that there is only one child born 23 August 1894 to Daniel and Julia (Farrell) Sanders/Saunders, that the name in the local copy was changed, but missed getting changed in the state record. William Henry Saunders

45 It appears Sarah had a sister who's married name was Elizabeth Muise who was also born in Nova Scotia and in 1920 married to Theoplious Muise. Sarah Tralean or Traleau or Trahan or Frohan

46 The birth registration for her first child, a stillborn baby, the mother, Sarah, is named Sarah Traleau or Tralean, born in France. The child's father is James A. Farrell, a tailor, born in Cambridge. At the birth registration for her second child, Henry Wilson Farrell, the mother, Sarah, is named Sarah Frohan, born in Nova Scotia. The father is again James A. Farrell, a tailor, this time born in Cambridgeport. At the death registration of her third child, Frances Sarah (Farrell) Christophel, her mother's maiden name was recorded as Trahan. The question arises if these are all the same mother? Was Nova Scotia considered part of France?

Census records say: 1900, Sarah F. Farrell was born Nov. 1872 in Canada (Fr.), meaning French Canada. Her father was born in Canada (Fr.) and her mother in Canada (Eng.)

In 1910, Sarah Farrell and her parents were born in Nova Scotia. It was reported that James and Sarah Farrell had been married 12 years and that she is the mother of 3 and 3 are living. So even though there is a gap in the birth years of her children, it appears they were all she had to that point, and since she was married 12 years, she is the mother of all the children.

In 1920 Sarah F. Farrell was born in Nova Scotia. 1930 Sarah F. Farrell was a widow, born in Canada.
